Caradonio Named Chairman of Kentucky Tourism Council

Covington, KY/October 20, 2003—Tom Caradonio, President & CEO of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been named Chairman of the Kentucky Tourism Council.

The Council is a Frankfort-based state association that represents every segment of Kentucky’s Tourism.  The mission of the 455-member Council is to unite and promote the industry through legislative and governmental interaction, industry awareness, professional development and communication.

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures.  The total impact to the community from the marketing initiatives of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2002 was $60.8 million.  The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2002 was $219 million.
