NORTHERN KENTUCKY CVB WEBSITE JUDGED AMONG THE BEST

Covington, KY/February 10, 2004  Successful Meetings Magazine has judged the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau web site as fourth best among CVBs nationally in its latest annual web survey.

Northern Kentuckys site competed against Bureaus, large and small, and finished behind Baltimore, Salt Lake City and Washington D.C. The magazine, self-described as the authority on meetings and travel incentive management, ranked 140 bureau web sites and identified the speediest, most useful and most user-friendly sites. To qualify, sites had to have convention in their name and an online request for proposal segment.

Northern Kentucky received a perfect 30 on the surveys speed/usability/content ranking. Comments about the site read, well-organized site with a meeting guarantee as an added benefit.

Tom Caradonio, Northern Kentucky CVB President/CEO says the Bureau reacted to the news of the web site recognition with excitement. We appreciate the recognition from Successful Meetings, one of the most influential publications in our industry. We continue to upgrade and add to our site so it will be more user-friendly.

Additionally, we have received positive feedback from people visiting the site. We are pleased that more people are using our site to book rooms for leisure travel, which reduces staff expense in the selling process. This has allowed the Bureau to more cost effectively market our region and amenities, Caradonio concluded.

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures.  The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2006 was $263 million.
