Northern Kentucky CVB Wins Planners’ Choice Award

Covington, KY/December 17, 2004—Meeting News Magazine has awarded the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau a 2004 Planners’ Choice Award in the CVB category, the only Kentucky bureau to receive such an honor this year. This is the first time the Northern Kentucky Bureau has received such recognition.

The Bureau won the award based on three factors: staff helpfulness and expertise; quality and number of services provided and timely response and follow-up. The honor places the NKY CVB in the top 10 percent of all bureaus nationally.

Magazine Publisher Tim Reid offered his congratulations. “The hotels, resorts and CVBS that win the Planners’ Choice are selected by our readers—meeting planners—for delivering the highest level of service. We know that choosing ‘the best’ isn’t always easy, particularly when selecting from the many fine properties and organizations that service the industry. What makes these awards so significant is that meeting professionals set the standards with their personal meeting experiences, nominations and votes.”

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures.  The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2006 was $263 million.
