 Mainstrasse Village received the following awards:  Top 10 Spring Festival & Event for Maifest 2004 by the Kentucky Tourism Council; Top 20 Spring Festival or Event for Maifest 2004 by the Southeast Tourism Council; and Top 25 Downtown Events for Oktoberfest 2004 by Kentucky Main Street Managers Program.

 Jim MacFarlane from the Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Airport received the Seven Seals Award for “meritorious leadership and initiative” in supporting the men and women of the National Guard and Reserves.

 The Radisson Riverfront welcomes their new Director of Sales, Brian Kahn.

 The owners of Newport’s Cold Stone Creamery, Marylin & Don Smith and Lori & Scott Hindenlang, were awarded Cold Stone’s national Golden Spade Award for “demonstrating excellence in all aspects of the creamery business.”

 The Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau named Julie Wainscott with the Florence Courtyard, “Bureau Hero” for January 2004.

 
The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures.  The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2006 was $263 million.
