Leading By Example the Motto of the Latest NKY CVB Bureau Heroes

Covington, KY/June 17, 2004-The Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau announces the May winners of its Bureau Hero recognition program.

Hotel industry employees from throughout Northern Kentucky have received the honor for going above and beyond the call of duty in meeting the needs of hotel guests.  The most recent honorees are Marriott RiverCenter General Manager Pat Boylsen and Holiday Inn Riverfront Sales Manager James Chambers.

Both Boylsen and Chambers were recognized for assisting runners from the Flying Pig Marathon Sunday May 2.  Both men arrived at their respective hotels at 4 a.m. that morning and wished the runners good luck.

Northern Kentucky CVB President and CEO Tom Caradonio stressed the importance of each recipient’s actions.  “Pat Boylsen is a dedicated General Manager.  He leads by the best method---example.  It is this type of leadership style which reflects the “go the extra mile (no pun intended)” style in each Marriott associate,” said Caradonio.

“James Chambers demonstrates, in all situations, that he sincerely cares about the groups he books.  His attention to detail and his concerns for all hotel guests are an example to other industry professionals.”

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures.  The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2006 was $263 million.
