WHO: Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau WHAT: Bureau Hero Award Presentation WHEN: Tuesday, July 18, 2006, 9:30-9:45 a.m. WHERE: Newport On the Levee Valet Parking area WHY: Sergeant Johnny Shea, Newport On the Levee Valor Security Officer is credited with saving the life of a one-year old Saturday May 6. The 14-month old was choking on a potato chip when Shea dislodged the food from the Josiah White’s throat. The Bureau regularly awards this honor to those in the hospitality community who go above and beyond in serving customers. The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures. The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2005 was $255 million.
