HOLIDAY INN RIVERFRONT COMPLETES RENOVATION
Covington, KY/July 11, 2006--The Holiday Inn Riverfront Covington has capped off a multi-million dollar revitalization effort inside and outside the hotel.
Three-million-dollars was spent renovating the 155 guest rooms including new bedding, flat screen TV’s and granite bathroom counters. Most recently the front entrance was designed with an arched Porto cohere (car port) and some stonework was installed. Guests had to enter the back of the hotel until that work was completed. Upgraded lighting and new paint were also added.
“The immediate impact has been a large increase in walk-in traffic. We are seeing occupancy rates up one-and-a-half points from this time last year,” remarked hotel General Manager Jack Warner. “A lot of local preferred companies are approaching us instead of the other way around. Our guest satisfaction surveys are improved as well. We believe this is a direct result of the interior improvements.”
The hotel’s restaurant has also been a hit with a new lunch and dinner menu. Special introductory room rates are also being offered as added incentive to sell more rooms.
