Fort Mitchell, KY/September 10, 2009—The American Institute of Architects (AIA) holds its Ohio Valley Region Convention October 1-3 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center.

Approximately 350 professionals from all over Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana are expected to meet, network and learn the latest industry trends together. The theme of the conference, which happens every four years, is Connections and Collaboration.

Featured speakers are:

• Ed Mazria, Executive Director of Architecture 2030, a national industry grassroots movement to align design with greenhouse gas reduction;
• Antoine Predock, winner of the Smithsonium National Design Museum Lifetime Achievement Award;
• Dr. Richard Farson, author of The Power of Design: a Force For Transforming Everything.

The AIA was organized in 1857 as a membership organization for professional registered architects. With nearly 300 state and local chapters, the AIA serves as the voice of the architecture profession and the resource for our members in service to society through advocacy, information, and community.
