KY Gov. Beshear Appoints Tom Caradonio to Kentucky Tourism Finance Authority
President & CEO of Northern Kentucky CVB a Past Chairman & Founding Member of Kentucky Tourism Finance Authority
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has re-appointed Tom Caradonio, President & CEO of the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau, to the Kentucky Tourism Finance Authority. Mr. Caradonio is a founding member of the Finance Authority that was created in 2001, and has served as its Chairman in the past. His appointment will run through January 31, 2014.
The Kentucky Tourism Finance Authority is a seven-member, Governor-appointed Authority that is responsible for the review of applications for tax incentives under the Kentucky Tourism Development Act and the Kentucky Film Industry Incentive Program. It also is responsible for the review of applications for credit under the Kentucky Tourism Development Loan Program. Members serve a four-year term upon appointment.
The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention & Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service, and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings, and visitor expenditures. The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties in 2009 was $262 million.
