Arena Meeting Facilities

Bank of Kentucky Center
The nearly completed $64 million Bank of Kentucky Center is located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The 245,000-square-foot multipurpose regional and special events center, first envisioned 20 years ago, is scheduled to open in September of 2008. With double-decker seating close to the arena floor providing a more intimate view for fans, this premier facility and future home to the NKU Norse is set to host regional and state tournaments, popular concerts, national conventions and more.

  • The bowl-shaped events center has a capacity of nearly 10,000 seats for most events due to retractable seating, or 9,400 for basketball games
  • The arena includes two decks of seating, 12 luxury boxes, two party decks that will accommodate up to 100 people and two party suites that seat up to 50 people
  • The arena features a special curtaining system with the ability to cut the venue to half size
  • Also under construction is a new parking deck directly across from the arena, with a view of the NKU campus
  • Already scheduled are NKU’s May '08 commencement and the Basketball Hall of Fame’s September '08 touring exhibit
  • The events center is managed by SMG, one of the world’s largest venue managers, who last year drew more than 50 million patrons to more than 10,000 events, and whose clients include the Louisiana Superdome and Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio

These 16 hotels within a 20-mile radius of the Bank of Kentucky Center offer accommodations and additional meeting space.
